Free Concerts in the Park – Denver Metro Areas

If you like music, then don’t miss the free summer concerts in the Denver metro area.

Each summer, Denver hosts City Park Jazz , a series of free jazz concerts on Sundays from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bandstand/Pavilion at Denver’s City Park.

Each Sunday, the concerts feature a different group. The 2012 concert schedule includes Lionel Young, Jakarta, Brazilian pianist Carmen Sandim and other artists. See the schedule.


The Colorado Syphony Orchestra will perform a free patriotic concert on July 3rd at Civic Center Park. The concert is part of the Independence Eve Celebration in Civic Center Park. Lawn seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis; blankets or low-rise concert/beach chairs are encouraged.

The 22nd annual Foothills Community Concert Series begins Thursday night at the Grant Family Amphitheater in Clement Park in Littleton.

The concerts are held on Thursday and Saturday evenings and Friday mornings. The Thursday and Saturday evening concerts feature family oriented bands and performance groups.

The Friday mornings shows are geared toward pre-school and school-age children and feature performances primarily focused in music, theater, cultural history, and dance.

Northglenn’s Summer Concerts will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park (that’s 1/2 mile south of 120th and Grant) in Northglenn. Concerts start June 20 and run through August 1.

Highlands Ranch is hosting a series of free summer concerts at Highland Heritage Park. The concerts start June 7 and run through July 26.

In Englewood, enjoy free Concerts at the Crescent Amphiteatheatre on Tuesdays. The 2012 series kicked off on June 5th with Boom Boom Pow and ends with Soul X on July 31st. The concerts start at 7 p.m. at the Crescent Amphitheater located at DTC Boulevard and Belleview Avenue (just east of Yia Yia’s Euro Café). Thanks to Valerie for this tip.
